A woodpecker had a field day with it. The original builder installed James Hardie siding, which is an excellent product when it’s installed correctly. But they paired it with cheaper wood trim, and that’s where problems like this happen. Wood trim attracts pests, holds moisture, and becomes an easy target for birds looking for food or a place to nest. We always recommend using fiber cement, PVC trim, or wrapping wood with aluminum for Hardie siding so the whole system lasts — not just the siding. Also, sorry about the video quality! No idea why it came out so grainy, but the damage speaks for itself. www.levelupimprovement.com
