Garden City Siding Contractor Update: Modern Iron Is Already Making a Huge Difference
It’s been a busy summer for our crews in Garden City. This siding project marks our fourth exterior remodeling project in the city this season, and it’s another example of homeowners choosing to invest in long-term curb appeal and protection.
Located just a few minutes from the busy Ford Road corridor, this home is in a neighborhood where we’ve been completing more and more exterior remodeling projects. It’s rewarding to return to Garden City again and continue helping homeowners update and protect their homes with quality siding installations.
Over the first few days of this project, we’ve already seen a dramatic transformation begin to take shape. The new Ply Gem D4 vinyl siding in Modern Iron has completely changed the character of the home, and we’re excited to share the progress before the project reaches the finish line.
Starting with a Clean Slate
Like every siding replacement, the first step is carefully removing the existing exterior materials so we can inspect what’s underneath. While many people focus on the finished appearance, the work behind the siding is just as important.
Removing the old siding gives us the opportunity to inspect the wall sheathing, verify that the home is properly protected, and address any areas that need attention before new materials are installed. Taking the time to do this helps create a siding system that isn’t just attractive but also built to last through Michigan’s changing weather.
Once everything was prepared, we began installing the new siding one section at a time, making sure each course remained level and properly fastened.
Modern Iron Is Transforming This Home
One of the highlights of this project is the homeowner’s color choice.
They selected Ply Gem D4 vinyl siding in Modern Iron, a deep charcoal gray that gives the home a clean, modern appearance while still fitting perfectly into the surrounding neighborhood. The color offers plenty of contrast without being overpowering, making it an excellent choice for homeowners looking to refresh an older exterior.
Even after just the first few days of installation, the transformation is impossible to miss. As drivers travel along Ford Road and through nearby neighborhoods, it’s easy to see how dramatically new siding can improve a home’s curb appeal.
It’s the Details That Matter
Installing siding involves much more than attaching new panels to a house.
Every window, door, corner, and transition has to be carefully measured and installed to ensure the finished product looks seamless. Proper flashing, straight lines, consistent reveals, and correctly installed trim all contribute to a siding system that not only looks great but performs well for years to come.
These are the details that many homeowners never see, but they’re the reason a professional installation stands apart from a quick replacement.
Our Fourth Project in Garden City This Summer
Garden City has been one of our busiest communities this summer, and this installation is already our fourth project in the city.
Whether we’re working near Ford Road or in one of the surrounding neighborhoods, we’re thankful that more homeowners continue to trust Level Up Improvement with their exterior remodeling projects. Seeing our crews working throughout the community is a reflection of the relationships we’ve built by focusing on communication, quality craftsmanship, and doing the job right.
As homes throughout Garden City continue to age, many homeowners are deciding that replacing worn or faded siding is one of the best investments they can make. New siding improves curb appeal, helps protect the home’s structure from the elements, and can reduce ongoing maintenance compared to older exterior materials.

Stay Tuned for the Finished Transformation
Although there’s still work ahead, this project is already becoming one of our favorite siding transformations of the summer.
We’ll continue installing the remaining siding, complete all of the trim work, and put the finishing touches on this beautiful Modern Iron exterior over the next few days. Once everything is complete, we’ll share another update with the finished photos so you can see just how dramatic the before-and-after transformation really is.
If you’re considering siding replacement in Garden City, especially if you live near Ford Road or one of the surrounding neighborhoods, keep an eye out for the finished results.
